WHAT ELSE DO YOU NEED TO KNOW ABOUT A PUREGUARD REVERSE OSMOSIS SYSTEM
What contaminants does a reverse osmosis system remove from your drinking water?
The first stage of a Pureguard™ reverse osmosis system is equipped with sediment filtration. It can remove most of the undissolved sediment.
The second stage is carbon filtration. This reduces contaminants that cannot be removed by reverse osmosis alone. Contaminants such as disinfection, disinfection byproducts, and volatile organic chemicals (VOC).
The third stage is the reverse osmosis membrane. This is a semi-permeable membrane with microscopic holes throughout. Impurities are removed by pushing the water thru these tiny holes. They block contaminants larger than water molecules from going thru.
After that, the fourth stage of filtration is a GAC or extruded carbon filter. This final stage removes any additional adverse smell or taste that could be in the water. It is the last thing your water goes thru before filling your glass. What you’re left with is purified and enjoyable water specifically for your drinking and cooking needs. Above all, food, coffee, tea, etc., can be enhanced with the water from your reverse osmosis system.
