What Is in Houston Water?

Houston homes get water from two very different sources. Inside the city, most water comes from treated surface water. In many suburbs, water comes from groundwater wells run by municipal utility districts. Each source brings its own problems, and that is why we test before we recommend anything.

Hard water

Calcium and magnesium leave white scale on faucets, spots on dishes, film in the shower and buildup inside water heaters. A whole-home water softener removes hardness before it reaches your plumbing.

Chlorine and chloramine
