The faucet trickles or barely runs
Almost always low storage tank pressure or a clogged filter. The tank has an air bladder that loses pressure over time and can be recharged.
No water at the RO faucet at all
A closed supply valve, a completely clogged prefilter, a failed shutoff valve, or an empty storage tank that is not refilling.
The system runs to drain constantly
A failed check valve, a stuck shutoff valve, or a compromised membrane. Left alone, this quietly wastes a significant amount of water every day.
The water tastes bad again
Exhausted carbon post-filter, a spent membrane, or water that has sat too long in the storage tank. This is the symptom most people wait too long on.
